While having an actual church security team<\/a> to coordinate safety efforts can be quite beneficial, it will take more than this group of people who can’t be everywhere all of the time. We all need to be looking out for the good of one another to maximize church safety.<\/p>\n

When Everybody Does Their Part, Church Safety Increases<\/h2>\n

1 Corinthians 12 refers to God’s design of the Church to function like a body with the following qualities:<\/p>\n

interdependence (1 Cor. 12:14-20)<\/p>\n

God makes it clear that we need one another. We each have a part in the health and well-being of the Body. Numerous “one another” commands<\/a> in the New Testament indicate that we are to be looking out for the good of one another.<\/p>\n

dignity of all (1 Cor. 12:21-26)<\/p>\n

We need to protect the dignity of each person. We do not sacrifice one to protect the other — “that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” (1 Cor. 12:25-26)<\/p>\n
