Does the type of church building you have increase the possibilities?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

You might be thinking, “Oh the possibilities that would come from having a great church building!” Let me encourage us instead to say, “Oh the possibilities that come from having a great God!”<\/p>\n

In truth, God’s character defines the possibilities for the church, not our facilities. Out of the fullness of who He is comes His great power.<\/p>\n

Possibilities Because of God’s Great Power, Not Because of Great Buildings<\/h2>\n

Let’s look at a few verses to cement this truth in our hearts and minds:<\/p>\n

1) Ephesians 3:20-21 —<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

2) John 15:5 —<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

3) 2 Peter 1:3<\/strong><\/p>\n

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Are you investing as much time, attention, and resources into the discipleship of those who are a part of your church as you do the building in which you meet? Are you teaching people to tap into that divine power that leads to a godly community of believers? If so, God will “do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Eph. 3:20-21).<\/p>\n

Oh the possibilities that come from having a great God!<\/p>\n
