As church leaders we can get caught up in risk analysis, using tools like SWOT which have us consider our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats when making decisions, or weighing the pros and cons. But, where does prayer come into the picture? Where does trusting God fit into our decisions? How do our decisions reflect faith in God’s power<\/a>?<\/p>\n

How do verses like the following relate to God’s power in the decision-making process?<\/h2>\n

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Eph. 3:20-21)<\/em><\/p>\n

By his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. (2 Thess. 1:11)<\/em><\/p>\n

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. (Phil. 2:13)<\/em><\/p>\n
