Jesus’ intent for life in Him should govern our pursuit of vision and goals in His Church, giving great potential for who we can be and what we can do. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to read: Christ-like Intent in Vision & Goal-Setting<\/a><\/p>\n

Christ-like Pursuit Uses the Right Standard of Measurement<\/h2>\n

\"Christ-like
\nSometimes a Christ-like pursuit of vision and goals may seem foolish to the world. We think about it differently because we use a different standard for success.<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Rather than base what we do on personal accomplishments, we measure what we do against the character of God, including His grace and mercies in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Rather than needing the personal acclaim of people’s applause or self-gratification, we humbly pursue vision and goals in submission to the One who laid down His life for us.<\/p>\n

And so we read in Romans 12:1-2, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God\u2019s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God\u2019s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”<\/p>\n
