Listening<\/a>, truly listening, doesn’t come naturally to many church leaders. Yet, as we’ve noted in previous posts, listening is essential to fulfilling our church purpose, living within God’s design for Body Life, and being Christ-like.<\/p>\n

If listening doesn’t come naturally, how about supernaturally?<\/h2>\n

\"Divine,When we read that “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness” (2 Pet. 1:3), surely “everything” includes the listening skills a leader critically needs.<\/p>\n

Such supernatural power is available ….<\/strong><\/p>\n

“through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness” (2 Pet. 1:3)<\/em><\/p>\n

As we grow in our walk with God, getting to know Him better and better, we find a God attentive to our prayers (1 Pet. 3:12), a God who truly loves us and listens to us. The more time we spend with Him and experience His ways, the more we become more like Him — which means we will love people enough to listen to them. We will become more attentive to them than focused on ourselves.<\/p>\n

This resource challenges leaders to grab hold of the power of God in all they do. As 2 Peter 1:3 says, “His divine power has granted us everything” we need to live for Him.<\/p>\n
