About Train Church Leaders, a Ministry Leadership Training Resource
Core Values Integral to Church Leadership Incorporated into This Site:
- Jesus is the Head of the Church (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18) and the Chief Shepherd (1 Pet. 5:4). Church leaders can only say follow me as I follow the example of Christ (1 Cor. 11:1).
- We align with God's purposes and design for the Church, seeking to fulfill His mission. Leaders therefore have the responsibility of steering the church toward what God has already established in His Word, not fashioning the Church according to their own desires.
- We need to exemplify God's heart in all we do, demonstrating both grace and truth.
- Any effort to lead the Church apart from God's power and the work of the Holy Spirit in and through us will be mere human effort and worldly pursuit.
Core Beliefs at the Root of this Ministry:
The Bible is the written inerrant Word of God given by verbal plenary inspiration. Nothing is to be added or subtracted from the canon of 66 books, and it is as such the final authority through which God makes His will known.
God is the One of whom there is none greater and therefore the standard for holiness and all that is good and right.
Humans cannot live up to God's standard no matter how hard we try.
God made a way for us to be brought into fellowship with God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on our behalf. Only by God's grace can a person be saved from sin and made right with God.
In the same manner as we received Christ, so we live by grace through faith, relying on His power to do in us what we cannot do ourselves.
