God designed the Body of Christ to function interdependently. Yet, when it comes to strategic planning some church leaders might have a tendency to function independently as though they are the only ones who can figure out how to proceed to accomplish a given goal. Then they expect everyone to adhere to and accomplish their plans.
We must remember God’s warning that “plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed” (Prov. 15:22). Getting help with strategic planning leads to the growth and building up of the Body “as each part does its work” (Eph. 4:16).
Strategically Choose Who to Help when Forming a Planning Team Based on Spiritual Gifting
Since God designed the Body to function interdependently, we shouldn’t be a planning committee of one. Yet, getting others involved doesn’t have to mean hours of useless and fruitless discussion about what to do from people who aren’t critical thinkers or who keep flip-flopping on decisions about how to proceed instead of moving forward.
Form a planning team made up of both idea people and practical doers to find a good balance so that what to do is carefully thought through but plans get put in place when sufficiently analyzed.
The Ministry Handbook: Spiritual Gifts in Use provides some thoughts to guide you in who to recruit for a strategic planning team based on gifting. This resource also looks at gifts best suited for 26 other specific tasks and 16 broad ministry areas.

I Now Begin Reason Beyond These Are The Major Problems We Have With some Of Our Leaders in the church today. They Cannot Even Explain The Roles Of These Gift To the Church.
Sadly, Ngufer Martins Emmanuel, what you wrote can be true. And, people within our churches will be Bible illiterate if leaders themselves don’t have a good grasp on God’s teachings in His Word. That’s why this ministry exists — to help equip leaders and teachers around the world so they in turn can help others.
THANKS SO MUCH. I WANT TO BE EQUIP IN THE WORD OF GOD
Praise God, Ngufer Martins, for your desire to be equipped in the Word of God. Scripture, inspired by God Himself (2 Tim. 3:16-17), needs to be the primary source from which we learn how to serve. Any decisions or plans we make need to align with God and His ways. Having subscribed to this Practicum, you will continue to receive e-mail notice whenever a new post is released. I pray God uses upcoming posts to further equip you and use you to His glory.
