We could experience discouragement that leads to disillusionment.

actually reaching the vision.

We could become so distracted, divided, or discouraged that we get derailed.

How do we get beyond theses vision problems and pursue what God has for us as His Church?

Keeping Focused on His Name Solves Vision Problems

Vision Problems Solved in the Name of the Lord
When we keep the focus on the name of the Lord, we gain what we need to overcome problems in setting, casting, and fulfilling a vision.

We gain the needed perspective, protection, perseverance, and power that comes by pursuing a vision for our church in the name of the Lord.

1) perspective to plan

Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. (Ps. 115:1)

It’s not about our own agendas but getting on page with God, for His glory not ours.

2) protection to pull together

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. (Jn. 17:11)

When it’s about His name, unity is possible.

3) propulsion to persevere

You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. (Rev. 2:3)

To be driven, or motivated, by His name’s sake and the effect of what we do to glorify His name, we be less concerned about what’s in it for us and how we’re affected.

4) power to pursue and prevail

May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. (Ps. 20:4-5)

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (Ps. 20:7)

By coming under the banner of His name, we have all we need to complete that which He’s given us to do.
