Only God Truly Empowers

When leaders delegate, they’re assigning part of their own work to someone else so the leaders can focus on that which is most important for them to do. While they’re able to pass on the responsibility with the needed authority to best accomplish the task, they can’t empower that person in the truest sense.

Empowerment for Impacting Ministry Comes from God

Delegate But Only God Truly Empowers

So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” (1 Cor. 3:7)

Only God truly empowers when we delegate. Let’s trust Him to work in and through others to whom a task is delegated.

Order the Steering the Church Toward God’s Power Leadership Guide for a biblical example of delegating and trusting God to empower and the result of doing so. This resource also looks at 24 other tasks and responsibilities of leaders in need of the power of God.
